Rooted in man-made grooves and human energy, Of Good Nature is a powerhouse live band from Charlotte, NC, blending groove rock, soul, reggae, and world music into a song-forward, musically adventurous, feel-good lifestyle. Known for infectious hooks and soul-stirring vocals, the band delivers intentional lyrics and vibrant musicianship in the studio and onstage through performances built on real instruments, funky rhythms, and genuine crowd connection. No clicks, no tracks… fully human.
Led by singer, guitarist, chef, and songwriter Cam Brown, OGN is a tight-knit musical family: David Hamilton Jr. on drums, JazzyZach on saxophone, Jeremy Maher on bass, and MikelParis (of O.A.R.) on keyboards. The band frequently features guests such as Emanuel Wynter on violin and Elise Testone (Leo Nocentelli, American Idol) on background vocals and percussion.
Since 2016, Of Good Nature has brought its feel-good sound to national tours, headline shows and festival stages across the United States while supporting acts such as Michael Franti & Spearhead, Matisyahu, The Hip Abduction, Stick Figure, Blues Traveler, Dirty Heads, The 502s, and many more. The band has also performed four times aboard Train’s Sail Across the Sun cruise, sharing the lineup with Fitz and the Tantrums, Arrested Development, Matt Nathanson, and others. Of Good Nature has built a reputation for bringing all kinds of people together through unforgettable live shows and a genre-fusing sound.
Their August 2026 single, “Feeling Fine,” was added to Apple Music’s New in Alternative playlist upon its release.“Hold Me,” featuring G. Love & Special Sauce, aired on AAA radio across the U.S., while their track “Be the Day”was featured in PlayStation’s MLB The Show. The band’s breakout song, “Don’t Wanna Give Up,” featuring Shwayze, quickly gained millions of Spotify streams and became a summertime staple on Spotify’s Beach Vibes playlist, connecting with fans around the globe through its soulful groove and hopeful lyrics: “I’ll smile and I’ll breathe, I’ll do what I need.”
Beyond the stage, Of Good Nature brings its mission to life through community action. The band partnered with Nourish Up to launch the “Good Food for Good Neighbors” fundraiser, providing meals and food education to thousands in need across Charlotte. The band also joined forces with Roof Above and was featured in Sierra Nevada’s Doing Big Things campaign for its work uplifting the local community.
